ABOUT US
IS Shaw Academy ACCREDITED?
Shaw has designed its content to be critically assessed by global academic and professional organisations. By working with universities, industry and academic experts, Upkillist ensures its education delivery provides a diploma for students that is externally validated and recognised by global institutional leaders.
Upon completion of the module based assignments students will receive two awards.
The first is a certificate of completion from US State University APSU. Located in Tennessee, USA Austin Peay State University has partnered with Shaw Academy to certify courses that will provide students with the skills, adaptive thinking, & habits of mind it will take to lead the way in a constantly changing world. Shaw Academy is a recognised provider with APSU in its Continuing Education program.
The second award is from CPD. There is an increasing expectation for professionals to undertake Continuing Professional Development regardless of industry sector, career level, job role and responsibilities. Shaw Academy partners with CPD to ensure that both academic and practical qualifications do not become out-dated allowing students to upskill or reskill. Shaw Academy courses have been formally certified by CPD and completed diplomas bearing the CPD approved logo.
WHAT DO I GET WITH A Shaw Academy COURSE?
We supply top level courses that consistently provide advantages to thousands of students. Our Diploma courses generally follow a structure of 4 modules with 8 classes per module. Many of our classes have practical demos where that is required so learners can really understand how to put into practice what they are learning. At the end of each module, there is an End of module Assessment, the result of all 4 end of module assessments is what makes up the final score for the diploma.
Our students have frequently stated they expanded their knowledge and skills with the support of our educators. If you are looking to improve your knowledge and get practical understanding, our expert courses can massively boost your skills and highlight your adaptability and growth to future employers.
IS Shaw Academy FREE?
We offer free access for the first four weeks so you can experience the level of professionalism you can expect from our classes. You can then continue your learning by paying the monthly fee and earn yourself an internationally recognised certification that will aid your career progression or new skills learning.
Please note that you can take out longer subscription options which are better value for money and give you access to all our courses. We also have a range of digital content that can be purchased at any time, already either during, or after the trial.
COURSES
WHERE AND WHEN IS THE COURSE HELD?
All our courses are delivered via video classes at your scheduled times. You will receive email reminders prior to the class and times will be in your local time. You can join via links in the reminder emails or via your course Member area.
WHO DO I CONTACT WITH COURSE QUESTIONS?
During the webinars, you can ask questions and receive answers in real time. If you do have any outstanding questions after the class has finished, you can simply email them to support@shawacademy.com.
We remain available as a point of support and assistance even after the webinars have concluded.
WHAT IS THE COURSE DURATION?
Our courses generally have 4 modules, where each module has 8 classes. Some of the courses may be shorter to 3 or 2 modules. We continuously develop new content and partially release courses to give our students a taste of what is to come.
ARE THERE ASSIGNMENTS?
Yes, there are 'weekly assignments' after every 2nd class to test your knowledge. The weekly assignments are optional, and completion is not compulsory to obtain your diploma. They are in the format of multiple-choice questions. There is also an End of Module Assignment at the end of each Module. Upon course completion and completing all 4 module assignments, you can get an e-Diploma via our Customer Services team. There will also be an option to purchase a hardcopy diploma.

COURSES
ARE CLASSES LIVE?
We understand that our students lead busy lives and need a flexible study environment to suit. For this purpose, our classes are not live but students can choose a schedule and pick class times that suit them or reschedule if life gets in the way. We have recently introduced features to enable students more flexibility around when they watch classes.
WHAT IF I MISS MY SCHEDULED CLASS TIME? WILL I BE ABLE TO CATCH UP?
That’s no problem, all your classes recordings are available in the Members Area on the course page. You have unlimited access to these recordings for as long as you have an account with us.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF A CLASS?
Classes are generally between 30- 50 mins .
CAN I SKIP THE SCHEDULED CLASS AND JUST WATCH WHEN I WANT?
Yes you can. While we know that sometimes it can help to have a scheduled class which gives you consistency and helps you build a habit, the reality for most people is that they need to be able to watch when time allows. Once your class scheduled time is over, the class is available in the Members Area on the course page.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY CLASSES?
All classes are posted to your member area after your scheduled time. To access simply click on here, enter your username (your email address) and password. You will then access your Member’s Area and can view your classes.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO MY CLASSES?
You will have access to your classes for as long as you are subscribed as a member with Shaw Academy or for as long as you are on a free trial.
CAN I DOWNLOAD MY CLASSES?
Classes are only available to stream with an internet connection, and you will not have the option to download due to copyright reasons.
IS THERE A RESTRICTION ON HOW MANY TIMES I CAN VIEW?
Absolutely not. You can watch your classes as many times as you like whilst you have access to them.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WATCH MY CLASSES?
You can watch recordings on any device that you possess such as computer, laptop, Smartphones, IPad etc. if you have an internet connection. You will also need speakers or earphones to hear the audio.

GENERAL ISSUES
WHERE CAN I FIND MY LOGIN DETAILS TO ACCESS THE MEMBERS AREA?
You create your login details during registration.
Your username is always your email address, and you can create a password of your choice.
To log in simply go to our home page, here.
Enter your username and password.
You will then be brought to your member’s area.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET MY PASSWORD?
If you forget your password, don’t worry. Click on “Members Area” on our homepage and this will take you to the Members Area login page, here. Simply enter your registered email address and you will get a password reset email and continue from there. If it’s failing at any step please contact our support team at support@shawacademy.com
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASS AND ACCESS THE RECORDINGS?
You can join the classes using any device if you have an internet connection. You will receive email reminders prior to the class. These emails will contain links to join the class, or you can access the class via the links in the Members Area for your course. If you can’t attend a class don’t worry. All classes are recorded and will be available to view in your members area. You will have access to course recordings for as long as you are a member.
HOW DO I REDEEM A VOUCHER TO TAKE A COURSE?
To redeem your voucher, please check your email/SMS received from the Voucher Provider and follow the instructions. You may also find the instructions in their App itself. It must provide you with a link to redeem along with the voucher code to complete the redemption. For any issues with the redemption, please contact us at “support@shawacademy.com”.
HOW CAN I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION OR MEMBERSHIP?
Please follow this link. You may need to log in to your account first. If you did not enter any payment details during registration, you don't have to worry about the cancellation.
If you had entered your payment details at the time of registration or upgrading membership, the membership/trial can be cancelled by visiting your account profile.Here

- select "Cancel Membership" and follow the On-Screen instructions to complete the cancellation process.
HOW CAN I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM NOTIFICATIONS OR COMMUNICATIONS?
You can do so by clicking on the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the email or SMS. You may also contact our support team at support@shawacademy.com to unsubscribe from all channels including phone calls.
