Semester II - Diet & Disease Semester
In this lesson we get beyond the food and see what is causing the rise in eating disorders, how they can be treated and most importantly how they can be prevented. We will also be looking at the role that diet and exercise play in the treatment of depression, anxiety, stress and other mental health issues.
Learn how to develop a diet for the treatment of diabetes and cardiovascular disease among others. We will be discussing new research in the area which covers the best pathway to achieving amazing results.
In this lesson we will be taking a look at cancer and studies highlighting the role of nutrition in preventing cancer. Learn how to boost your immune system through a nutritious diet. A very interesting lesson and one that is relevant to us all!
Learn what drives food choice. Learn about cultural and religious factors which affect food choice. Learn how to adapt your nutritional knowledge for the individual. We will also take an in depth look at motivation and how to achieve and sustain it.
Semester III - Lifecycle Semester
In this lesson you get a clear overview of the essential elements of nutrition which need to be taken into consideration pre-conception, during pregnancy, lactation, breast feeding and weaning.
We all know what children should be eating but this lesson looks at what children are eating as well as overcoming nutritional issues for children. We take a look at fussy eaters and overcoming childhood obesity which is on the rise at an alarming rate.
The teenage years are of vital importance to ensure optimum health as we age. This lessons explores nutritional concerns for teenagers such as inappropriate slimming, drinking alcohol and taking an introductory look at nutrition for the teenage athlete.
Nutrition during adulthood is vitally important to ensure an excellent quality of life as we age and to prevent disease, but also to cope with all of the hormonal changes which take place as we go through the lifecycle. A special emphasis will be placed on men’s and women’s health.
Semester IV - Special Diets Semester
In this lesson we will focus in on Crohn’s disease, IBS, lactose intolerance and Coeliac disease. Some people have claimed that changing their diet has drastically improved their quality of life and allows them to cope with their digestive disorders.
Here you will learn more about how diet can be adapted to food allergies and food hypersensitivity. We will look at processes such as food exclusion in the treatment of food hypersensitivity.
Learn how to identify different nutritional deficiency disorders such as anaemia, osteoporosis among others. Learn how to prevent their onset and also take a detailed look at how to treat them using diet.
The rise of nutritional disorders has led to a subsequent rise in individuals who are looking to meet their nutritional needs through raw food and plant based diets. Learn how to follow these diets safely and without putting yourself at risk of nutritional deficiency.

The personal nutrition course has been great so far. If you are just learning about health, they start off with very basic information so this is a great place to start.

Thank you for a fantastic online platform! I've so far done the personal nutrition and is currently working through the advance nutrition course. I've also signed up for the child nutrition and the diet and weight loss course.
I have only had 3 lesson so far in the diet and weight management program and I'm already able to advise people on healthy eating habits and plans and explain to them what happens in the body when certain foods are eaten. I am also very happy with the interactive approach Stacy takes in teaching the course, it makes it very interesting and something to look forward to even though I have to sit up and listen to it at night after a very busy day because of my time zone.
I recently started the "Diet & Weight Management" course and have not enjoyed learning about something new, as much as I am this one, in the longest time. I get more excited with every lesson and cannot wait to have the correct knowledge to help me improve my life style.
